My wife ordered the Heated BackThing for me after I threw out my back - I was told to alternate ice and heat and she thought the support combined with the heat would be perfect. She was right. Wearing it was the only thing that seemed to help. What I also like about it though, is that I can remove the heating element and just use it for support when I'm working in the yard or doing anything strenuous.
