R.U. Outside offers a 30-day money-back guarantee and a 1-year warranty on every product we sell. We have confidence in our products, and we stand behind them accordingly. If for any reason you need to return an item under our money-back guarantee, simply email us at rachel@ruoutside.com or call us at 800-279-7123, and we'll issue you a return authorization number. Once we receive the item back, you will promptly be refunded the purchase price (shipping charges are not refundable).

Our one-year warranty covers materials and workmanship for the original owner under normal wear. There are no refunds on warranty issues. If a product fails within one-year due to a manufacturing defect, we will repair it without charge, or replace it at our option. Repairs due to accident, improper care or negligence, where we are not at fault, will be performed at a reasonable charge. Please call for authorization before returning any product.

R.U. Outside wants you to be happy with your product. Returned products must be clean and re-saleable. You pay the shipping to us, we pay the shipping back to you. Then we all go outside and play.

So, if your dog decides your boot looks like his bone, we can't help you. For almost everything else, we can. Please email or call us right when the warranty problem arises, and we'll take care of you. Don't wait a month or two or six, as you might run the risk of exceeding the one- year warranty limit. And, please don't wait until a trade show, as warranty issues are not handled without prior authorization.

Updated R.U. Outside Exchange Policy

Fifteen years ago, when we started R.U. Outside, it cost about $3.50 to ship a 1 lb. package from Idaho to New York via UPS. Now, that same package costs about $9.00... not including labor and supplies. If it's a rural delivery, the cost is even higher.

We strive to operate in a way that benefits the majority of our customers. Because of continually rising UPS, FedEx and Postal Service charges, we had to either raise our product prices across the board or start charging a small exchange fee. We've opted for the exchange fee, which will apply to items returned for a different size or a different product.

On our end, we are making a concerted effort to publish highly accurate sizing information so you can order the correct size, the first time. So, when ordering, just take an extra moment to peruse the sizing information, and you'll be set.

Exchange fees will be as follows:

• All clothing, accessories and sandals:
$4.95/item exchanged

• All footwear (except sandals):
$8.95/pair of footwear exchanged
